I used benzoyl peroxide 5%, but it made my skin extremely dry and flakey and bright red. Should I stop using it?

Regarding benzoyl peroxide. You should consider 2.5%. It has the same efficacy as 5% but with fewer side effects. To get the maximal effect, you need to apply it all over the face and use a moisturizer in the morning. 🙂
