I think the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in my night cream is too much for my sensitive skin. Can the dose be reduced more?

Hi. The drying effect of 2.5% Benzoyl peroxide can be reduced in a few simple ways. First, try to use a smaller quantity. If you feel that it's over-drying, use only a "green pea" size of the gel for the whole face each night. If it's still drying after a couple of days, you may use it every other night—the last option. Mix a pea size of your benzoyl peroxide 2.5% in the palm of your hand and a similar quantity of your moisturizer. Then, apply the mixture to your face. Mixing the moisturizer will reduce the BP % to 1.25%. Another last tip: Do not apply the BP gel to sensitive areas of your skin, such as under the eyes and the folds around your mouth and chin. These areas are too sensitive and are easily irritated by all anti-acne creams.
