I have lots of pimples. I believe it's moderate acne. What are my options?

Several types of prescription drugs can be used to treat moderate to severe acne:

[1] Topical Benzoyl Peroxide (available also OTC): Destroys the acne bacteria and reduces oil production.
[2] Topical and oral antibiotics: Help stop or slow the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation.
[3] Topical vitamin A derivatives (retinoids): Decrease the formation of blackheads and whiteheads. Unplug existing blackheads, allowing other topical medicines (such as antibiotics) to enter the follicles.
[4] Accutane (Isotretinoin, Roaccutane): the most effective prescription medicine available for acne .

Use the MDacne app to assess your Acne and start with prevention right cleansing, diet, and topicals. As a second step advise with your Dermatologist for prescription medicines.
