How long does it take Epiduo Forte to start working?

Woman Using Epiduo Forte

In general, a topical that contains benzoyl peroxide, like Epiduo Forte start to work after 4 to 6 weeks. Efficacy is based on the severity of your acne, the way you apply the gel/cream and other factors such as your diet. I would start with assessing the severity using an app like MDacne, learning how to prevent new pimples, how to cleanse your skin and how exactly to apply the anti-acne gels to your face. If there still no improvement after 3 months of use, you need to advise with a dermatologist.

There are actually 2 types of Epiduo. The regular Epiduo gel that contains Adapalene 0.1% and Benzoyl peroxide 2.5% and the Epiduo Forte that contains Adapalene 0.3% and Benzoyl peroxide 2.5%.

It seems that the main benefits that are derived from the Epiduo gels, is derived from the benzoyl peroxide. The Adapalene component seems to add very little to the anti-acne activity of the product, while significantly increasing side effects such as skin irritation and sun sensitivity. Thus, the best choice would be to start with a high-quality micronized benzoyl product-based solution. If you like to use Epiduo your better choice would be the lees irritating regular Epiduo gel.
